The site of Plogastel has hosted the Mondial Pupilles since the first edition in 1986.
After the "Jeunesse Sportive Plogastelloise", which has been in charge of the organization since the beginning, a new association was created in 2008, entirely dedicated to the hosting of the biggest event in the town: the "Comité d'Organisation du Mondial Pupilles du Haut Pays Bigouden"( the Mondial Pupilles Organizing Committee of "Haut Pays Bigouden").
This coincided with a desire, as much as a need, to widen the influence of this event on an inter-communal level, the tournament still taking place at the Leurré Stadium in Plogastel.

...to the present day
Today, the COMPHPB brings together volunteers, clubs and host families from seven communes: Plogastel, Landudec, Guiler sur Goyen, Pouldreuzic, Plovan, Peumerit and Plozévet.
The organisation of the event is entirely voluntary and brings together around one hundred volunteers, not to mention the indispensable support of more than seventy host families spread across the north of our beautiful Bigouden region.
With the support of all these towns, a network of faithful partners from the private sector, and the efforts of all the volunteers, the Committee is giving itself the means to favour each year a little more the conditions of reception of visitors from all over the world in its area.

For the environment
After having been the first to introduce the use of reusable glasses in 2010, we are now thinking about other actions in favour of the environment, such as waste management or the use of water during our festival days.
