Between Earth and sea…
Ideally located between Pont-Aven, Quimper, Concarneau and Lorient, the Quimperlé region condenses the most beautiful things Southern Brittany has to offer. Quimperlé is a town of more than 12,000 inhabitants which forms the link between Morbihan and Finistère. Whether you are a lover of the open sea, or rather a fan of the countryside, Quimperlé will undoubtedly seduce you with its many attractions: wild coasts, cobbled streets, fine sandy beaches, ponds, undergrowth, hiking trails, chapels, rivers…
In Quimperlé, we distinguish between the upper town and the lower town. The Upper Town developed around the Saint Michel Church. The Lower Town, for its part, is located at the Saint Colomban Church and the Benedictine Abbey of Saint-Croix which hides real treasures.
Quimperlé, a sports town
The city of Quimperlé has various distinctions such as “Flowering Towns”, “Cities of Art and History”, “Historic Towns” and in particular “Active and Sports Town”. The city of Quimperlé owes this distinction as an Active and Sporting city to the richness of its associative fabric and the dynamism of the volunteers who bring the passion for sport to life at every moment of the year. Created in 1968, the FC Quimperlé club is an active association of Quimperlé and its surrounding area. The women's section was created in 2018 and continues to develop. Thanks to the support of the city of Quimperlé, the FCQ is pleased to become the third host site for the Mondial Pupilles girls
